It's Protein Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Season!

If there’s one recipe you can make on repeat this season, it will be the Protein Chocolate Chip Banana Bread. It’s the most perfect breakfast, snack, or even dessert because it’s that good!

This recipe is nutritionally dense, macro-friendly (aka has a great protein-to-calorie ratio), and can be made dairy and gluten-free depending on the milk and pancake mix and also the protein powder that you use.

Replacing traditional flour with protein pancake mix and protein powder adds a nice amount of protein without compromising taste or texture. It also adds sweetness and replaces the need for adding artificial sweeteners. It’s a win-win!

What do you need:

2 medium bananas

3 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp olive or coconut oil

1 cup protein pancake mix (you can use Flourish)

3 tsp baking powder ½ tsp salt

2 tbsp cinnamon ⅔ cup milk of choice

2 scoops (60g) of protein powder of choice

4 tbsp chocolate chips

Follow the procedure:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F.

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender, except chocolate chips.

  • Blend until all ingredients are mixed evenly.

  • Stir in chocolate chips.

  • Add into a greased loaf pan or muffin tins.

  • Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
